The speedy winger is currently a talented player with a bit of improvement to work on his game. Guardiola is famous for improving players with Raheem Sterling a recent example of a speedy winger transformed into a world-class forward.

James came close to a move to Leeds United as he had undergone medical at the club only for Swansea to pull the plug in the transfer. Marcelo Bielsa sides are also understood to planning a renewed bid in the summer for the 21-year-old as the Argentine tactician rates the winger highly.

James spoke about his future last week in the aftermath of the Slovakia match revealing that he had begun contract talks with Swansea.  Manchester City have a history of signing players from Swansea City with Wilfred Bony and Scott Sinclair examples of such signing.
