MLS ATTACKER SET FOR SWANSEA DEBUT

United States international Jordan Morris is on course to make his Swansea City debut on Wednesday night in the English Championship following his loan transfer from the Major League Soccer (MLS). Jordan Morris is a Swansea City player after he signed for the club on loan from MLS outfit Seattle Sounders.

The 26-year-old is expected to be in the Swansea City squad for the home game with fellow Premier League promotion chasers Brentfordlater tonight. Jordan Morris has left his hometown club Seattle Sounders to continue his career in Wales with Swansea City and his loan transfer includes the option to buy out his contract with Seattle Sounders if all goes according to plan in Wales.

A lot of keen MLS followers would have expected Jordan Morris to swap Seattle Sounders for a level higher than the English Championship but the second tier of English football gives him the opportunity to showcase his talents to a wider audience. In many ways, the loan transfer from Seattle Sounders to Swansea City is seen as a step up for the player. Jordan Morris is an attacking talent who has the quality to fit into the system and style adopted at Swansea City. In addition, he could also play a part in the Premier League promotion push of his new team. Welsh club football giants Swansea City are one of the many teams chasing an automatic promotion slot at the end of the season and only the top two spots will guarantee automatic promotion to the Premier League. If it works out well for Swansea City in their promotion bid, Jordan Morris could be playing Premier League football by next season if the Welsh club opts to make his move permanent. He was one of the best players in the MLS at the end of the 2020 season.
